Background
California MedTech (previously Paragon Medsystems) was founded in 1998 with the mission of creating a world-class resource for turnkey development and manufacturing of medical devices and life science instrumentation. The company has been consistently profitable with a compound annual growth rate of over 50% since its inception. Cal MedTech is a privately held, employee-owned company with no outside investors. We employ over seventy full-time professionals and operations personnel.

Domestic Facilities
Cal MedTech is headquartered in Rancho Bernardo, a high-tech region in the northeastern corner of San Diego. Rancho Bernardo is approximately twenty minutes north of downtown San Diego, fifteen minutes east of Sorrento Valley and UCSD, forty-five minutes south of Orange County and forty-five minutes north of Mexico. Our 25,000 square-foot headquarters facility houses a complete engineering team, machine shop, manufacturing facility, service depot, finished goods warehouse and fulfillment facility.

To better serve clients in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, Cal MedTech recently established a Bay Area Design Center, located in Menlo Park. The Design Center houses a talented development team, including electrical, mechanical, software and biomedical engineers, as well as full development and prototyping capabilities.

Offshore Locations
Cal MedTech maintains active partnerships with affiliates in Tijuana, Mexico, and Xiamen, China. When production volumes become substantial, Cal MedTech works closely with clients and offshore affiliates to craft the optimal mix of domestic and offshore manufacturing to provide the highest quality product at the most competitive prices.

Cal MedTech maintains a comprehensive quality system which encompasses design, manufacturing and service activities. We are registered with the State of California and the FDA as a medical device developer and manufacturer, and we are ISO-9001 and ISO-13485 certified.
